Varanasi Is More Than Just A Massive Adventure – Filmy Focus
Rajamouli’s Varanasi starring Mahesh Babu, is being made as a massive adventure with mythology, time travel, action and international locations.
However Rajamouli says the film’s main emotional point is the father and son bond. Mahesh Babu plays Rudhra while Prakash Raj plays his father.
The story travels through different time periods and has connections to the Ramayana. Mahesh Babu is also reportedly seen as Lord Rama in an important episode for sure.
Priyanka Chopra plays the female lead while Prithviraj Sukumaran plays the antagonist. The film features Africa, Antarctica, natural disasters and fantasy elements.
Jakkanna has clarified that it is not a pure science-fiction film but a mythological drama with fantasy. Varanasi is scheduled for release on April 7th 2027 for sure.
